While in today’s life, there are many ways to charity to poor people like helping or supporting directly to the local community or giving money to national or international charitable organizations. There are some positive and negatives effects of these methods that I will be discussing in this essay.

On the one hand, there are two mains reasons that people choose to give money to national or international charitable organizations. First of all, rendering money to internal or external aid organizations can tackle more problems. Moreover, you can work on a larger platform and provide help for global issues. However, the lack of transparency of charitable organizations is the most worrying for donors. Benefactors have some wonder as does corruption exists or not? Whether the misfortune people have enough amenities or service as the institutions committed.
On the other hand, helping or supporting directly to the local community will give you a sense of warmth, demonstrate empathy. Besides, you know what their needs are, how your money is being used. But, it is only a temporary solution, not a permanent one.

I must admit that I have a part of doubt about giving the money to national or international charitable organizations. As I had explained, some institution is lack of transparency and still exist in corruption. Moreover, their plan maybe not my expectation. So I prefer helping or supporting directly to the local community by donating in-kind such as books, clothes, foods, or donate a little bit of money with other people to build/repair their house, buy working tools. It makes me feel a sense of warmth, closer, more practical.

In conclusion, it is undeniable that charity agencies are fast and convenient. However, direct donate is more reliable and safer for the donators. The ultimate aim of any form is to help the misfortunes in a miserable situation. Just two different ways of achieving the same goal.
